Swim Course: The swim course is one kilometer in length and is
triangular in shape with each leg being 1056 feet. The average
water temperature is 72 degrees. The swim in in the scenic
Potomac River.
Bike Course: The bike course is 40 kilometers in length and
travels the beautiful roads of Westmoreland and King George
Counties. The course is primarily flat but at certain points does offer
some challenging hills.
Run Course: The run course is 6.2 miles and stays entirely within
the town of Colonial Beach. This well-designed course was
orginated by the Westmoreland County Recreation Department
which hosts its annual Colonial Beach Classic each October. The
course is flat and has plenty of water stops for the participants.

1. Contestants must be familiar with and follow the race route.
2. Medical personnel have authority to remove a contestant from the race if judged
to be physically incapable of finishing the event.
3. Friends, family, or assistants may not drive, bike, or run along side a contestant.
4. Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification.
5. Contestants are not allowed to wear headphones or earphones at any time
during the event!
6. No one other than contestants will be allowed in the transition area.
7. No participant shall bring any glass containers into the transition area.
8. Contestants are to assemble at the swim start area by 6:45 am.

Take Rt. 301 to Rt. 205 North or from I-95, take Exit 130A (Rt. 3 East), go
approximately 30 miles to Rt. 205 North (left turn). Continue into the town
of Colonial Beach (approximately 6 miles). Staging area is on the Colonial
Beach Avenue across from Days Inn.
